Mukilteo, Wash., September 5, 2008 – Wizard International, Inc. announced the release of SwitchBlade Technology, a quick change cartridge system for the Wizard CMC 8500e.

With SwitchBlade Technology, framers can easily switch between multiple blade and debossing cartridges within seconds, and without the use of additional tools or head changes.

 Utilizing Wizard’s modular CMC design, SwitchBlade Technology makes changing from a 45 degree bevel to a 90 degree bevel as easy as switching back and forth between snap-in cartridges. By pressing a lever, the 45 degree cartridge pops out for easy removal and the 90 degree cartridge snaps into place. Currently there are five SwitchBlade cartridges available - 45 degree, 90 degree and three sizes of decorative debossing cartridges. Each cartridge utilizes a single direct-drive head and is designed to be interchanged within seconds, giving framers more time to create and design rather than waste time on unnecessary mechanics.

SwitchBlade Technology will be included as a standard feature for new Wizard CMC 8500e orders, beginning on September 5, 2008. A SwitchBlade Technology upgrade package will be available for existing Wizard CMC 8500e users. Customer loyalty upgrade programs will also be available to all existing Wizard CMC customers.
